PCE Solutions was founded as a 501c3 organization in 2012, serving a diverse cross section of communities working with youth nationally and internationally.  PCE Solutions provides an array of trainings, conferences, and program development aimed to enhance the environment our youth live in, both in and out of school.

PCE Solutions focuses on school climate, student engagement and building positive youth development elements.  PCE Solutions is the licensed training provider for the PLUS Program and Direction Survey.  The PLUS Program is a nationally recognized youth centered program model that is presently being utilized schools, communities and tribal youth programs across the country.  Direction Survey  has been created in order to simplify the need for schools, after school programs, youth serving organizations and to easily assess the climate of their youth.

The individuals that surround our organization and guide PCE Solutions each have a unique background and decades of experience working with schools, communities and tribal youth programs.  It is our intention to provide high quality services and comprehensive approaches targeting our youth.

Mission

Our mission is to promote education and a safe environment for youth in educational settings and in the community, and assist in program development in schools, Indian reservations and public communities.

Board Members

John Vandenburgh - President

John Vandenburgh began his career as a High School Teacher in Southern California, where in 2002 he was honored as one the California League of High Schools Educators of the Year. His career transitioned into a focus on Violence Prevention in schools when he became a Safe Schools administrator.  He has served on the California Department of Education’s Gang Task Force where he helped develop the Getting Results Update on Gang Violence for schools in the state of California. In 2007 he received the Ananda Guruge (Ger – Gay) Lifetime Commitment Award for Violence Prevention, presented by Stop the Violence, Increase the Peace Foundation in Los Angeles, CA. He has served as the Vice President of the California School Resource Officers Association. John Vandenburgh is a nationally recognized speaker, program developer and trainer on violence prevention and youth development approaches in education.  He is the author of the PLUS Program, Peer Leaders Uniting Students, and the creator of a software based application called CyberBully Alert.  His latest work, has gathered international attention as an innovative strategy for addressing online safety and cyberbullying.

Regina Siez, Secretary

Regina Siez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with children and families for over 20 years. She has experience in working with foster youth, tribal communities, and students in local school districts. She has extensive knowledge in dealing with death and dying, loss, trauma, and various other mental health issues. Currently, she is a Social Worker for the Temecula Valley Unified School District. She is also an adjunct lecturer in the School of Social Work at the University of Southern California.

 

Julia Gabor -Member

Julia has worked  with esteemed organizations such as the LA-All Stars, the Tiger Woods Foundation and WRiTE BRAiN BOOKS.

Julia was awarded the Women Making a Difference by U.S. Senator of California Lou Correa for her contributions in youth programming in Orange County, CA, in 2014. In, 2013 Julia received the OSTI award from BOOST for her contribution to out-of-school time individuals by providing innovative approaches to support students, families and communities. Julia launched a national college internship program for sports management, hospitality and marketing majors from universities across the country. Additionally, she managed a mentor program for first -generation college students, attending private and liberal art universities. Julia also managed a national character education program called Tiger's Action Plan (TAP). TAP served close to 10 million students from 2003-2009.

Julia is a graduate of the State University of New York, Fredonia receiving her bachelor's degree in the Fine Arts. She received her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Antioch University.

 

Advisory Board Members

Dr. Dave Long - Phd

Dr. David Long was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Secretary of Education in March 2007. In that role, he served as policy advisor to the Governor on education issues. Dr. Long has more than 40 years of experience in the field of education, ranging from 21 years of classroom teaching to the superintendency. He obtained his Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Prior to his appointment by the Governor, Dr. Long was the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools.

Dr. Long is a former President of the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA). He is the Chairperson of the Federal Education Safe and Drug Free Schools and Community Advisory Committee.

Niki Vandenburgh

Niki Vandenburgh has been serving communities with her work in the areas of youth programming as well as working closely with Tribal Governments and Tribal Youth Programs. Her extensive 14 year background working with Tribal governments includes overseeing Education Departments, Health and Wellness Initiatives, Tribal governance structure projects and economic development opportunities. Niki has a background in grant writing and grants management, as well as being a credentialed teacher and business owner.

Dr. Jon Eyler - Ed.D

Jon founded Collaborative Learning Solutions in 2010 on the relentless desire to provide more effective behavioral and educational solutions for traditionally marginalized youth. Jon has worked in public education as a teacher and administrator through various levels of the system– school site, district, and county. His expertise is grounded in student behavior, discipline and disproportionality. Dr. Eyler has a keen sense of influence and leadership, which has resulted in strategic and sustainable changes in many organizations. In addition to his work as a consultant, he has served as an adjunct professor for the University of Southern California (USC) where he taught courses in Educational Psychology. Today, Jon serves as both a consultant and speaker for organizations across the nation
